Starting August 3, 2014 distribution will be held after church service (12:15pm) from the elementary school parking lot.

Recently, we have been inundated with people needing help. Our supply is low. There is a great need in this area and donations are greatly needed. Won't you consider helping us help those who can't make it into town for assistance?

PLEASE NOTE: we cannot accommodate special dietary needs as we distribute foods we receive as donations.

** Participants getting help from Plentiful Harvest  MUST  apply for supplemental groceries. We are not able to provide 'drop-in' services as we bring the food in from out of the area. You may drop an application off the day of distribution, but please don't expect to receive at that time as we operate on a very tight supply.

** Effective August 3, 2014 distribution will be the first Sunday of each month.
Monetary donations help us minister to the families in Concow.

** Distribution to families who have completed the application - and been approved - notification of distribution will be mailed to approved applicants.
Our current donations allow us to serve 10 families. The cycle of eligibility is 3 months at which time applicants will be moved to the waiting list until donations increase to accommodate more families.
The Hope Center in Oroville is another resource for families in the area to contact for assistance. For more information, please see their web site.

Food for the Soul

A heartfelt THANK  YOU! to those who have donated goods:

During our second year we were blessed to receive donations from:

  • the Associated Students did a campus canned food drive in October and donated a LOT of food to us - my little Dodge Neon was packed full of canned goods. Thank you!
  • a young man and his mother who did a 'Facebook drive' and collected the food at the Chico Thursday night Farmers market! They filled my little Neon twice! Thank you!

Calvary Chapel | Concow - members of this small outreach ministry to the Concow and Yankee Hill area have continued to support the pantry and cover us with prayer in the planning stage of the pantry.

To the individuals who have contacted us to pick up food they have personally collected or purchased for us!

Healing Hearts Ministry - Board members donated dry goods and bags for the pantry on Nov. 12, 2011 - our first donation!

Canned Food Drive - a holiday food drive occurred during December 2011 to collect food for the initial 'stock the shelves'. Thank you to Panhellenic Sorority, the fraternity groups at CSU, Chico, and Omicron Theta Epsilon Biology Honor Society.

The Hope Center in Oroville - thank you Larry and Stephanie for your service to the Lord that touches so many of us!

Thank you to my co-workers and friends who have contributed monetarily - your contributions helped purchase perishables (milk, eggs, butter) for the February distribution.

If you know anyone that would be willing and able to be a continuous donor to our pantry, please let us know! We appreciate any and all contributions to assist those in need.

God bless you,

Julie
